Desconfianza Estructural: Un Análisis de la Confianza en las Instituciones Públicas Peruanas según Año, Región, Ámbito, Sexo, Edad y Nivel Educativo (2007-2016)

Esta investigación tuvo como objetivo describir las variaciones en los niveles de confianza en once
instituciones públicas peruanas durante el periodo 2007-2016 y analizar la variación de la confianza
institucional según variables geográficas como Región y ámbito, y variables sociodemográficas como el sexo,
la edad y el nivel educativo. Los datos han sido obtenidos tras unir longitudinalmente las bases anuales de
la Encuesta Nacional de Hogares (ENAHO) aplicadas desde el año 2007 al 2016. Los resultados de esta
investigación indican que la confianza en las instituciones públicas peruanas no ha variado significativamente
en el período señalado, que existen importantes diferencias en los niveles de confianza entre instituciones,
y además, se presentan ciertos patrones de confianza en las variables analizadas.

Abstract
The objective of this study is to describe the variations of trust in eleven Peruvian public institutions between
2007 and 2016 and analyze the variations of trust according to geographical variables such as state and
stratum, and sociodemographic variables like gender, age and educational level. The results have been
obtained after merging the annual databases of “Encuesta Nacional de Hogares” (ENAHO) executed
between 2007 to 2016. The results of this investigation indicate that trust in Peruvian public institutions has
not changed significantly during the chosen period , the study also found gaps of trust among institutions,
and, furthermore, the existence of certain trust patterns for each analyzed variable.
